The beaches and the surrounding area

The free beach of S’ena and Sa chitta of fine white sands extends to the south for about 3 km up to the rocks in the proximity of the old lighthouse.  Just off the coast of the lighthouse lies the small island called red islet. The apartments are located about  100 m from the beach. Behind the beach is a pond where pink flamingos and herons are staying.

The beach of Capo Comino. The lighthouse of Capo Comino represents the most eastern part of the east coast of Sardinia where you can enjoy a splendid panorama. The white sandy beach of Capo Comino is the continuation of S’ena e Sa Chitta, surrounded by pink rocks; it is characterised by its tall dunes and low bushes of juniper. It is very loved by scuba divrs for the rich fauna and aquatic plants.

La Caletta is a tourist resort on the sea provided of all services. The 5 km long beach, all free, is of fine clean sand, the water is not deep, ideal for children. Port for boats and speedboats.

Santa Lucia right to the north of Capo Comino is this small fishing village, built around the Aragonese tower. On the white sandy beach you can practise water sports, while those who love cliffs can go to the south of the village where there are several great little bays surrounded by pinewood.

The beach of Berchida. Just south of Capo Comino opens the wonderful and solitary beach called Berchida, several kilometres long and 50 metres large. The fine sand is grey clear, the water has nuances that go from green to blue-turquoise. Surrounded by dunes and Mediterranean scrub, the beach of Berchida is indicated as one of the 5 most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean.

The beach of Bidderosa. It is a protected oasis formed by five beaches, each one of approximately 350 m in length by 15 m wide. The very fine sand, grey clear with red rocks to the sides, presents blooms of wild very aromatic lilies. You can reach it through a small dirt road where the car passed with difficulty through a thick pinewood. It runs along the Pond of Sa Curcurica, a wetland of relevant botanical interest. Here you can admire rare species of birds. To be able visit is necessary to book in advance in the Pro Loco di Orosei. The place is simply charming.
